Work Trauma
Work Trauma 1982 (Georgetown)
I left because I made my choice
I left because I had a voice
I’m getting out and I’m spreading my mouth
Screaming loudly I pronounced her name
I’m screaming and she’s calming saying “Don’t Holler”
If they let me go - you would all know
Effective Immediately
Comply or you will see
Organic Attrition
My response was not my submission
Layoff or what you can’t see
Born into the grind
Married with kids and none of them
MINE
Work TRAUMA
I’m awoken by the drama
Refusing to comply I renounced my fame
Forgiving my corporate dream to live my life in vain
My life is priceless and it’s deeded in my name
I’m not worried about When and Where
I don’t remember to think about How and There
Lost it all and I still cared
Carried my full share and now the curtains are up showcasing free and clear
Divorce is my dissolution
My Revolution from this Work TRAUMA
Voiceless Visions
No more remissions
I can see the full picture
End to End
I’ve done it ALL
I took the case without a cause - no crown
Jobless Expressions
Revamped renovations
I’m feeling rejuvenated
Making my own decisions
Free from Lemonade Lassos
Compelling Christian Charisma
Endowment Extraordinary
Opinions expressed endured unsolicited feedback
I’m no longer Entertaining Extroverts
Fortune’s misfortune was watching the clock
Ticking to my innermost mechanisms
Indescribable Decisions
I’m not entertaining
Attempt to find another Host
The power to dominate my cognitive process
Daring to be different I see all lines of defense
Choosing and Crossing the Road
I’m traveling more and feeling less ignored
Changing to be who I must become
I’m ruling and running in relation to my health
This is therapy
No more work trauma
My acumen announces strength
Im finally BALANCED
Work life is Silenced
I’m ready to answer the question of why I worked
Why I succeeded above the clerk
It was far beyond my work
Working to show I can work
Working because I felt like I had to work
Working assignments for accolades
Apples and Pears - whispering ears
I am the rebirth
Undefeated in my high heels and skirt
Don’t ask me
Don’t task me
Don’t mask me while I work
You’re the reason I’ll never tell you why I worked
Why I worked
Why did I work
Why work
What work?
