I can't See

LANCE WILLIAMS 1969 (chicago)

Free verse
I can't see from the forest to the trees.
I can't see because I'm always on my knees

I pray to the man up above with all my might to show me from dark to light. The light was so bright I was a fright.

I heard the sound of falling leaves, My eyes are open
I can't see from the forest to the trees
