It Was Always Me

I used to want to hate you, but not anymore
It was always me
Hating  myself
I searched for solace in your silence
And found we were both pawns
Two stars colliding
A crash course in destiny
I searched for hope
To find meaning in your silence
And found only fragments of my own reflection
The only truth
Was my love for you

I hope I didn't hurt you like you hurt me
But if I did
If it was ever true,
That I was important to you
Like you were to me
I hope you grew stronger too
I used to want to hate you, but not anymore
