Way up high in the sky.

A J C 1958 (Swansea, MA)

Way up high in the sky.

It's time for me to go to sleep. There are 100 meds I have to keep. The room is dark and silent. And my eyelids grow heavy as my head sinks into the soft pillow. Now I'm ready. My dreams are days, and my days are dreams. I see a great shadow on the wall. What does it all mean? Maybe nothing at all. But the bottle of pills I keep by my side will take me high up into the clear blue sky, and I will feel myself floating like a weightless butterfly. Then the shadow stops by again, where he wants to take me. There is no end.
