Let's Make Steam

LET’S MAKE STEAM
  ( by d.k. debell )

I am the Fire, You are the Dream /
I Burn with Desire, you’re as Cool as a Stream
You Quench my Thirst, I Run your Machines /
Let’s get together & Make some Steam.

My Flames Reach High, your Waters Run Deep /
I Light up the Sky, while YOU, Dark Secrets Keep;
I Never Die, you never Sleep –
I Blind Prying Eyes, You make the Angels Weep.

You Grow the Food, I Cook the Meal –
But your Sweet Touch, I must never Feel;
I make you Boil,  with a Passionate Heat I can’t Conceal
But you’d just turn me into Smoke, if it ever got too Real.

When I get too Hot, I can get Extreme
And you’re much more Deadly than you Seem;
The Two of us make a Powerful Team /
Let’s get together & Make some Steam.

Let’s Burn the World until it’s Clean /
Let’s Flood the Earth with a Love Supreme;
Let’s Melt the Ice of the Old Regime /
Let’s get together & Make some Steam.

    I haven’t a clue as to why this one makes me think of a poem I read back in the mid 90’s about a cowboy and a dancehall girl…Although it seems that this one is much more refined…⛄️
