If the moon smiled
kate oliver 2006 (melbourne)
If the moon smiled,
For she would smile upon you.
A soft sweetheart,
With a heart made of gold,
Taught only to except those that you behold.
Under the silvered glow of the moon's tender gaze,
She weaves a celestial dance, a night's embrace.
In her ethereal glow, whispers of dreams unfold,
A soft sweetheart, her stories of love and old.
With a heart crafted from the finest of gold,
She teaches us to embrace every story untold.
Your kindness, a beacon in the darkest night,
Acceptance your mantra, a guiding light.
Each word you speak, a melody of honeyed grace,
A symphony of compassion that time can't erase.
Your smile, a currency beyond earthly measure,
A treasure trove of joy, a boundless treasure.
Beneath the moon's soft glow, your presence shines,
A reflection of kindness in these nightly confines.
Let your laughter echo through the midnight air,
A lullaby to soothe, a balm for hearts to repair.
In the tapestry of night, where dreams take flight,
You paint constellations with strokes of delight.
As the moon smiles upon you, its radiance profound,
May your warmth and love in every heart be found.
So let the moon smile, casting its luminous beam,
For in your presence, life becomes a beautiful dream.
