Girls

When I walk through town, I see many girls.

And sometimes I think, do they have a man, or are they by themselves.

Do they work a job, do they work it late.

Is it one they hate.

Trying to make ends meet, living a life they can't escape.

They're probably impatient for the weekend, just so they can catch a break.

And hoping a man can come along and sweep them off their feet and take them some place.

More so, they don't wanna be alone.

Because no, she doesn't want that heart ache.

From longing for love, filling up, taking up space.

Her heart rate is increasing, from thinking, "why not me"

How much more can her heart take.

I love all kinds of writing. Most of all, I just see what I do as simply expressing my self through words and I don't really categorize my work in or to any specific genera. more…
