It's okay to be scared
Cherie' Amami 1972 (Austin)
IT's OKAY TO BE SCARED
It's okay to be scared," a mom whispers to her infant as she cries after a fall. With a kiss she sets her free and watched her waddle away.
"It's okay to be scared,"
Whispers the mom to her daughter as she cleans up her sickness off her night gown. It's just a stomach bug.
With a kiss she tucks her back in bed.
"It's okay to be scared,"
Whispers the mother as she wipes her daughters tears away.We all go through the change to be a woman someday.
The mother gave her something for the pain and slowly turns away.
"It's okay to be scared," whispered the mother to her daughter as she wiped her tears away. You are too young to know what love is today but you learn it some day. Kiss to the forehead she gives her a comforting hug and steps away.
"It's okay to be scared," whispered the mother to her daughter she squeezed her hand after her marriage and watched her quietly as her daughter drove away.
"It's okay to be scared," whispered the mother to her daughter as she screamed out in pain. Soothing her hair out of the way. Soon the baby will be here and the pain will simply just go away.
"Its okay to be scared," whispered the mother to the daughter. We will be okay either way. As they waited for the doctor to say it was nothing but a benign tumor anyway.
"Its okay to be scared, " whispered the mother in her weak voice as her daughter held her frail hand throughout the day. You must know we were never meant to stay. But rest assured I will always love you anyway. Smiling she softly added in her reassuring way, " And trust me we will see each other again .....one day."
Her grip started loosening on the daughters hand. The daughter knew her mothers suffering was coming to an end.
She stood over her mother kissed her mother's head and whispered," I was never scared momma I had you to protect me in each and every way. "Thank you for every blessed single day.
About this poem
This is a poem I wrote about my mother. Unfortunately everyone of us has lost someone very dear to us that we loved deeply. We are not here forever. But for the time we are here, let the ones you love know how much you love them. There will come a day when you won't get to say something as simple as I love you to the ones you mean the most to. Make time for your family those moments matter.
