Inside Thinking

Loudness surrounds me...
PTSD, kicking in...
Flashbacks in my head.
Am elbow to the face...
I was stunned more than hurt.

Begging the Lord to let me pull through this.

Thump, Thump, Thump...
My heart is pounding hard.
Squeeze, squeeze, squeeze...
I think I'm having a stroke again.
Thump, Thump, Thump...
My heart is giving up.

Begging the Lord to let me pull through this.

Loudness surrounds me...
PTSD, kicking in...
Flashbacks in my head.
Am elbow to the face...
I can taste blood.

Begging the Lord to let me pull through this.

Tingling has filled my body...
I feel numb inside.
I wanna scream...
But I'm too scared to do so.
I wanna cry...
But they won't come out.
My head is spinning.

Begging the Lord to let me pull through this.
