A Valentine Rose

Last fourteenth day of February
A rose magically appeared at my door
Who placed it there raised my curiosity
Attached card read " Who Loves You More? "

Subsequently I wasn't romantically
Sharing my life with anyone
Those words once expressed by a friend who died tragically
Reminded me love never dies when you're gone

It seems that the last line reads a bit odd. It's hard to see what it really means. It looks like the final word was written to make the rhyme, but the poem has aspects to consider it not a bad one.
