Made A Change

Made A Change
By Robert T. Davenport
On the day we made a change, the world stood still,
A moment of awakening, a collective will.
In the depths of despair, we found a spark,
A glimmer of hope, lighting up the dark.
With hearts ablaze and minds set free,
We broke the chains of apathy.
In unity we rose, hand in hand,
A force of love, across the land.
No longer bound by fear and doubt,
We embraced compassion, inside and out.
With every step, we forged a new way,
Leaving behind the shadows of yesterday.
The winds of change whispered in our ears,
As we let go of judgment and erased our fears.
We saw the beauty in every face,
Embracing diversity, with love and grace.
Together we built bridges, not walls,
Tearing down barriers, standing tall.
No longer divided, but united as one,
A symphony of voices, under the same sun.
We reached out to those in need,
Planting seeds of kindness, a selfless deed.
With open hearts, we lent a hand,
Creating a world where all could stand.
In the face of adversity, we found strength,
A resilience that carried us the length.
We stood up for justice, we fought for right,
A beacon of hope, shining so bright.
On the day we made a change, we found our power,
A transformation that would forever tower.
For in our actions, big and small,
We made a difference, impacting all.
So let us remember that fateful day,
When we chose love, come what may.
For in the depths of our souls, we know,
That together, we can make the world glow.
