"What's Yours Is Mine"

I know what it's like,
I know how it feels.

My heart that you hold,
knows all to well that it's real.

Seeing the pain break you down,
is killing me still.

So now hand it to me,
hold on tight.....it's my will.

Feeling all of your pain as my own,
that's the deal.

As you clinge onto me,
Your embrace is surreal.

I'll hold you forever,
til we are both healed.

And at the end of all time,
I just might be holding you still.
----------------------------------------
-I'll take your pain as if my
       own, because what's yours
is mine, that's set in stone.

About this poem

This is the 1st time I have ever wrote a poem and didnt know I was even going to try. All the sudden I had all these words and rhymes in my head and wrote it out immediately and this is what it was. I really dont know how it happened, but its continuing and I know its truly from my heart and its me. Its emberrasing but I am forcing myself to put it out there because maybe there is 1 person that will understand it and help them see that they arent alone. Because I know I am an empath and this is coming from a lot of trauma. ....but more than anything from Love.

I have been on a journey the last year learning about myself and healing trauma. I never imagined I would even try to write poetry but all the sudden I have this creative side wanting to come out and its all from my heart. Its been very hard to force myself to put this out there. But its all out of the most important thing....Love. more…
