my mommy

Lyric Young 2005 (Greenwood)

You love me at your best,
Hate me at your worst,
Your mask ever fading,
Your gaze filled with hatred.

My mother the one who loves,
Never getting kisses or hugs,
Instead a blind haze,
And an attitude filled with rage.

I talk I scream,
But I’m never to be seen,
My mother no longer knows me,
For I have gotten weak,
My mother no longer knows me,
For she has never seen,
What it is to be loved and how to love me.
