Unraveling Shadows

Unraveling Shadows

In the labyrinth of a restless mind’s maze,
Anxiety weaves and wanders itself, making a place.
Creating a home unwanted by the beholder.

A cyclone, within a storm that won’t subside,
Churning thoughts, a relentless attacker, never-ending anxious state of mind.
Anxiety, a shadow, silently looming,
Creeping, seeping through your mind.
Echoes of anxiousness tempt those at rest.

A turbulent sea, a tornado in the chest.
The clock tick, tick, ticking,
Pirouetting rapidly, erratic in pace.
The worries caving your chest, a never-ending race.

Held captive to thoughts, a prisoner of the mind,
Anxiously pacing the corridors, searching for an exit of relief.
Solace is hard to find.

Like a thunderstorm in a tranquil sky,
An unignorable, insistent cry.
Continuing on with an invisible weight,
Falling deeper down into the gaping mouth.

Anxiety, a tempest with a voice,

Yet through the heart’s turmoil, a resilience buds.
A seed of strength, found in the flood.
For anxiety’s stronghold, though fierce and fixed,
Can be faced with fortitude, and slowly unraveled.
