The day death wasn't alone

The day death wasn't alone
The day everyone could mourn
The day the bitter tears shallowed
The day you shouldn't have known
The day peace was overrated

In a realm where silence held its sway,
Where shadows danced in twilight's fray,
A day dawned, a somber tide,
When death's embrace was not confined.

The world stood still, a mournful choir,
As grief's lament echoed through the air,
No soul remained untouched, no heart so bare,
On the day death's solitude did tear.

The bitter tears, once held in check,
Now flowed like rivers, wild and keen,
Each tear a silent testament,
To the pain that none could comprehend.

Oh, the day you shouldn't have known,
When innocence was stripped away,
Your world turned upside, your heart turned stone,
On the day that peace was overthrown.

Yet, amidst the sorrow's depths,
A glimmer shone, a beacon bright,
For in the midst of chaos, love would leap,
A lifeline thrown, a comforting shift.

Through shared tears, through empathy's art,
A bond was forged, a sacred grace,
A symphony of grief, a tender heart,
On the day that peace found its place.

No longer overrated, peace found its way,
In the arms of love, where shadows fray,
For in the midst of sorrow's tide,
Human connection, a solace wide
