That Mango Tree

That Mango Tree
Saw my entire childhood
Like when I was being naughty
Or not in a jolly mood
I climbed unto it
Like a spider on the hunt
Though I'm afraid of heights
It was hard to escape such fun
I sped from all my dread
Up to the highest peak
My eyes bursting with tears
So much i could bearly speak
The firm structured branches
Jus made me feel so sure
That if ever I am cornered
My tree would protect me for sure
I wept,I smiled an even confused
But this beauty jus stood there
Looking almost amused
As if to say I care
I retrieved to this abode
Whenever my excitement rose
Unhinged friends or all alone
Our connection never froze
Its like we were best friends
While creating fun times
We bonded till the end
Until it's demise
I was only twelve
When the woodcutters came
That horrid day has left
Carrying away my one true friend
At least it knew my heart
An the joy it created
It was not easy to depart
Any ways I became independent
Now only a dry stump
Where a legend once stood
Your memories are all pumped
Of our time in this neighborhood
Now even if there is a person
To share our precious story
I doubt they'll ever understand
Our short yet glorious shared journey
