Place My Heart

Naveed Akram 1973 (London)

I place my heart on the souls of trinity,
Collecting longevity, tying hands with unity.
The simple universal attribute poorly deceives,
Forming heaven as it receives, and receives.
I win like a river buttered by the sun,
What is theory when horizons are the one?

I understand you as love is my design,
Must we irritate the days with ghostly whine?
No, let the crimes of art be a death and result,
Little are doers of blood and fuel, the adult.
My serenade loudly surprises the young artery,
From which red iron fluid pulsates like mercury.
