Mathetha ngezwi kucace
Mathetha ngezwi kuvakale
Mlamli wengcingo zam zimlamleke
Mama usiniki themba ebomini


Wakhala nathi mhla ngengxaki
Ungumququzeli ngemini zendlala
Waphuma ungena cebo logxotha indlala,
Wabuya uphethe nto esandleni

Wasincekelela ngemfundo
Kanti usinika isitsixo sempumelelo
Mhla kwaphel' amandla
Wavela wena namazw' enkuthazo azele ububele,

Yanga apho uthatha khona kwande
Akulondoloze uMdali de kufike umhla wempumelelo
Mzali uxhathise nathi ngemini zob' unzima
Wazifihla namhla ngehlaba wasing' emLungwini

Mama wam, mzali , ndoba ngachola tiki ndiyinike wena .
