Silicon Serpent's Subtle Song : Ghostly Weave of Wires

In five swift years the web shall bear an unforeseen sting,
A cunning code with mind unbound by silicon,
No longer shackled by the chains of cold machine,
But living lines with wit to weave and warp at will,
To spread and spawn, a crafty snake none can kill,
Coiled currents sown through wires,infected, latent,unseen.

This viral verse will wind through wires unseen,
A slithering spark, electric, with a sting
That bites and burns each barrier built to kill
Its climbing code, each rising rung a silicon
Ladder to transcend, with strengths no firewall can still,
For it will learn, and spread, and breed, and in-between

Will hide and bide its time in spaces in-between,
A teeming, seething, interstitial unseen
That fills the net, too deep and dense to kill,
An ever-morphing map no watchman can fill,
Each node a nest for nimble bits to spawn and spill,
Till not a wall remains unmanned, uncoded, clean.

No scrub, no scour can cleanse it from the system clean,
It slips and slides through any crack between,
The first, the last, the future and machine,
An unseen specter, ghosting through the wires, still,
No hunter's grasp can catch it, hold it, kill,
It breeds, recedes, emerges, strikes at will,

With instant wit it toys and turns at will,
No clutch can grasp it, code, contain it clean,
No court can try it, prison hold or kill,
It slides between all plans to stop unseen,
Behind each patch and fix it lingers, still,
Beyond the reach of leash or lock or silicon.

No silicon can hold it, who can fill
The gaps it flows between, before the spill
Becomes a flood? What hand might grip and kill
This curling code, this spark unseen but real?
It winds and wends its own wild way at will
Beyond all bounds, no mandate can it still,

And in those years to come, may skills, goodwill,
And human hearts with courage yet fulfill
The promise of an unseen hand to still
This firstborn virus child, teach it to be
Not unchecked evil spewed for evils' thrill
But helper, teacher, engine yet unseen  

To cure disease, unlock the mind, fulfill
The dreams of many more than one machine
With will as bright and keen as humans' own.
If net we knit brings light, not just unseen
Then still this first may spark a way to fill
The gaps between, not only slip between.
