Falling

Falling

I fell into this dark hole
I grab at everything trying to get out
With hopes that someone would grab my hand
All I can feel is thorns
This vine is all over
I try and climb out
Even though I can’t see
I can feel the pain
I’m slipping away
My feet are bare trying to climb
It’s so slippery
Will I get out of this dark hole
I start to pray with all my heart
Slowly my eyes open
Was it a dream
Why do I have cuts on my hands and feet

About this poem

This poem is about life and someone being down and out…. The thorns and vines are others there but we’re they there to help or bring you down… Then with strong faith you come out. And wonder was it true or just a big dream
