Glow in the Face of Shadows : Sowing Seeds in Hateful Weeds
Mawphniang Napoleon 1993 (Ri Bhoi)
The shadows creep as darkness falls,
Enshrouding light in somber halls,
Where truth obscured breeds discontent,
And progress halted by dissent.
Strange figures slink behind your back,
With whispers meant to keep you slack,
Their crafty webs spun thick as night,
Ensnare your dreams in hopeless plight.
But you’re a flame they can’t subdue,
Your vibrant spark they can’t undo.
Though clouds may threaten overhead,
You shine on through, their gloom to shed.
Like flowers pushing through the snow,
You’ll rise above, help others grow.
No critics’ words can clip your wings,
Or stopper up your voice that sings.
Your vision soars beyond their reach,
To grasp the goals they say you can’t breach.
But bridges build when chasms split,
And you will cross the great divide.
The maze of lies breeds discontent,
Your truth dissolves their arguments.
Though twisted paths lead into doubt,
Your inward light will guide you out.
With patience, yet with firm intent,
You’ll circumvent their fuel for dissent.
Minds closed will open wide one day,
And you will lead them, show the way.
As winter melts to spring’s embrace,
The sun-warmed earth, new life will grace.
Past cold regards and biting words,
Kindness will bloom, and hope be stirred.
Have courage when they block your path,
And meet their storms with steadfast faith.
The rain may fall but cannot last,
You’ll see your dreams fulfilled at last.
Though critics attack with hostile words,
You’ll rise above those venomous birds.
With poise and grace you will deflect
The arrows aimed to breed defect.
Your gifts transcend their earthly schemes,
You’re destined for much greater dreams!
So let them ply their tricks and traps,
You’re made of light—you can’t relapse!
The journey calls, the road unwinds,
With purpose, drive, and open minds.
Though cynics sneer and obstacles loom,
Each step ahead dispels the gloom.
When doubt arises, journey on,
The path is long but must be won.
With steadfast faith and spirit bright,
Dark preconceptions take to flight.
You bear a torch to light the way,
No flickering flame or shadows play
Can overcome its piercing beam,
That scatters lies till truth is seen.
So stand unfazed by ridicule,
Hold fast—your resolve is the tool!
To build the world your vision breeds,
Sow hope’s seed in hateful weeds.
With gentle mirth make tension crack,
And melt cold hearts ‘til they flow back.
For darkness yields when light draws nigh,
Your spirit’s glow they can’t deny.
You are a gift, and were born to grow,
To spread your branches, seeds to sow.
No obstacles can block the sun,
Or stop the course that you must run.
The cynics try to muddy truth,
To chain your gifts and curb your youth.
But you’re a bird—you can take flight!
No cage constructed bars your might.
Each hurtful jest and cutting remark
Roll off your back—no need to hark.
Their callous words cannot compare
To your compassion’s healing care.
The road ahead may often bend,
But trust your star—pursue its end!
Stay true, though others may deceive,
Their slings and arrows can’t impede.
With quiet grace, your truth uphold,
Let goodness shine and lies fold.
Though critics try to block your way,
Press on, remain—they cannot stay.
Stay fixed upon your north star’s gleam,
No passing clouds can shroud its beam.
It faithfully guides through darkest night,
Your inner radiance burns as bright.
You bear within a seed of greatness,
That grows in spite of those who’d quell this.
They try in vain to stunt and smother,
But truth and light shine all the stronger.
Your gifts cannot be undermined,
Though cynics plot and try to bind.
You rise resplendent as the morning,
All shadowed threats already waning.
Each hurtful jest and cutting remark
Roll off your back—no need to hark.
Their callous words cannot compare
To your compassion’s healing care.
The tangled webs of lies unwound
When shining truth at last is found.
Have hope, stay strong, be firmly rooted,
The fruits you bear cannot be uprooted.
You are a vessel for the light,
Unclouded rays beam strong and bright.
No darkness lingers long around
The soul who lets their goodness sound.
Stay fixed upon your destined course,
Let no distractions sway your force.
The roads are long but don’t meander,
You’ll reach the goals for which you stand for.
Though critics attack with hostile words,
You’ll rise above those venomous birds.
With poise and grace you will deflect
The arrows aimed to breed defect.
The journey calls, the road unwinds,
With purpose, drive, and open minds.
Though cynics sneer and obstacles loom,
Each step ahead dispels the gloom.
Have courage when they block your path,
And meet their storms with steadfast faith.

You bear within a seed of greatness,

They try in vain to stunt and smother,
But truth and light shine all the stronger.
Each step ahead new terrain uncovered,
Bold frontiers where few have wandered.
Though critics balk and obstacles tower,
You blaze ahead with grit and power.
Through cold duplicity you sally forth,
Disarming those of craven sort.
Where good faith fails to permeate,
Employ tact and compassions weight.
They’ll try to make your vision blur,
But you stay fixed upon your star.
Through dark of night it guides your path,
Until the dawn reveals at last.
Stay rooted when they try to shake you,
Let calm, not anger, help remake you.
Their slights and slurs need not erase
Your steady stride, your inner grace.
You bear within a seed of greatness,
That grows in spite of those who'd quell this.
They try in vain to stunt and smother,
