Felt To Feel It Real
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Felt to feel it real.
Personal and effective.
A kept pettiness,
On the surface.
Believed left as is.
Until regret begins to reach,
Depths of emotions.
Personal and effective.
Felt to feel a pain real.
That nothing done to do can heal.
It is a needless activity.
To inflict and it meant to remain.
For what purpose to achieve?
Popularity or intended disbelief to leave,
A disgusting representation...
Of inhumanity to ensure,
History is made and stays cemented that way.
Revisited.
Felt to feel it real and remembered,
For generations and centuries of memories...
Yet to teach to keep in minds to come.
How it is that civilized people.
Claiming to be advanced mentally.
And intelligent enough to look as if adults.
Find it a necessity to destroy themselves.
Over power to have it.
With pretensions created.
Made to impress how best,
To destroy themselves and the World.
As if anthropologists will discover,
This to be progress.
And in need to reveal to be awarded,
'Not Stupid Nor Dumb' walnut plaque.
For such an accomplishment to achieve.
If only they can identify...
Who or what should receive,
The Most Popular Award.
One of the most envious of awards,
Given to the having the audacity...
To campaign for it to 'ad nauseam' levels.
With a numbing of minds unable to sober.
Without creating more conflict,
Between surviving descendents...
Claiming to be related to those chosen.
And had been rulers of an alternate universe!
Yet they too could not provide,
Authentic documents to prove...
Their affiliation to warrant their delusions,
Kept to fiction and charade having blue blood!
