My life till now
When I was little, feeling so sad,
In an empty home, alone I had,
My father sleeping, all through the day,
My mother, job's grip, couldn't sway.
My brother in another shcool far away
I had naught to do, no one to talk to,
Friends elsewhere, in different crews
Then came my studies, I loathed every bit,
So dull, so vexing, a never-ending pit.
My father's guidance, though earnestly led,
Nothing could penetrate, like words left unsaid.
Home schooling arrived, sudden and unplanned,
Left me adrift, in a state unmanned.
My brother by my side, our path we'd decree,
Navigating this change, together, you see.
Worse than school, it seemed to me,
Trembling with fear if answers weren't glee.
In this changing time, staying home, a test,
Craving friends, I sought a site, as a guest.
People from all over, the world's wide chest,
I kept it from my parents, it was a jest.
Soon I realized, it's not the best,
Virtual not real, like a heartfelt fest.
I began to stop, in my quest,
My parents found out, feeling pressed.
Shame and worry, I'm not obsessed,
About the flogging, I don't mind, I confess.
"That's all for now, hope my future's bright and free,
Maybe back to school, maybe not, we'll see.
Holding my head high, no bad thoughts to decree,
When I'm grown, adventures await, full of glee.
But for now, I'll let time simply be,
A journey unfolding, like waves in the sea
