Drown My Name
Watch me walk, see how I move, now you know.
Gambler, sand mad-man, swimming through my soliloquy:
Wake of life sucks you in my undertow.
Staring contests from sea birds beckon me,
Albatross, dripping through garments, gold seams feel like new life to me,
Watch me walk, see how I move, now you know.
Our lush coral garden, you, sipping blue lemonade; someone slips.
Unforgiving, sun-cracked faces: deepen un-brilliantly,
Wake of life sucks you in my undertow.
Perfection slacks, our glinted bubbles melt,
You find room for distrust, but don’t leave because you skillfully
Watch me walk, see how I move, now you know.
I think you saw the future in my eyes, rolling with the currents,
You’re no longer land-locked, discrediting such fine ability.
Wake of life sucks you in my undertow.
Alerted to betrayal on my hands across ice paper, later:
Sober, apologize, grasp blind for me again; your fins toll with hostility.
Watch me walk, see how I move, now you know;
Wake of life sucks you in my undertow.
