Echoes of Desolation

In the shadows of my mind, I dwell alone,
Where the weight of despair has overthrown,
Every glimmer of hope, each ray of light,
In this endless, desolate, internal night.

A heavy shroud of darkness, thick as tar,
Binds my soul, and it feels so bizarre,
To exist in this bleak, relentless haze,
Where joy and laughter are but distant days.

Each day a struggle, an uphill climb,
I navigate a world devoid of rhyme,
A cacophony of thoughts, a constant din,
In this vast emptiness, I drown within.

Is there escape from this relentless grip?
Or am I destined to this endless trip,
Through the depths of sorrow, endlessly,
Trapped in the prison of my misery?

No silver lining, no hope in sight,
Just the endless, moonless, starless night,
As I grapple with this unrelenting pain,
In the depths of darkness, I remain.
