Even So

Even though I try to smile
It only lasts for just awhile
Because anxiety is real
It often is the way I feel.

Even if I'm with someone
Who I think is so much fun,
At times it's hard to push away
The darker thoughts that come my way.

Even now as I write this,
I feel like something is amiss.
At least such recognition can
Help me to come up with a plan

Even as I let you know
It helps to let my feelings show,
And that I do appreciate
Support from those while I await.
