She's my Hero.

Kem Elrod 1957 (Anderson)

I'm going to the cemetery to see my heroes,
The heroes of Chicken Road.
Let the story be told
Death comes fast and hot
For the heroes of Chicken Road, time was a fellow could pull up in the shade and set a spell  then came those hotrod cowboys with a taste for raising hell, They love slapping them gearshifts around and letting their engines roar I've seen more than a few crackup and I ask you what's it all good for. Ooh,oh oh, that angel drove a Ford. That angels Chevy hit a tree when it left the road and Ooh,oh oh, that angel I miss her so, why is it angels won't listen when you tell them never to go?Somewhere off in the distance I hear a big block sounds like its about to explode,,I just pray my daughter's not doing what her sister did, When she rode with a hero on chicken Road.
