The person who always saw me through
The person who made sure I grew
And somehow around you I always flew

But like all things I was brought back down to earth
By none other than, guess who, You.
Who had me questioning everything
From your love to my own worth

Broken down to an unrecognizable shell
Oh, that truly felt like hell
But I acted like it was all swell
Lying even as I fell

Always holding onto the hope
Wishing your mind will change
Or a miracle meeting will happen
And I could fix my mistakes

But life isn't so forgiving
That's the cost of living
