I'm Falling Back In Love With What I Used To Love The Most

I’m falling back in love with what I used to love the most
I’m falling back in love what I used to love the most
Inking pages on the back of my former school notes
Looking up the meaning of every word I‘m yet to know

I’m falling back in love with what I used to love the most
I’m falling back in love with what I used to love the most
Crumpling papers holding lyrics I thought my genius wrote
Explore every layer of my being till I’m prone

I’ve fallen back love with what I used to love the most
I’ve fallen back in love with what I used to love the most
Outside on the steps, sometimes I tarry in the cold
Pleasure nonetheless, gnawing at my cuticle that’s grown

I’ve fallen back in love with what I used to love the most
I’ve fallen back in love with what I used to love the most
Shut myself away from lovely souls and their convo
Or stay up till it’s late enough for the day’s noise to mellow

About this poem

This poem is about how I stopped writing for nearly 3 years. I began writing again and I have saw myself loving it again. Right now, I've absolutely fallen back in love with what I used to love the most.

Marcus Eyitayo Victor

The best way I describe myself is that I am a writer. This is because I love and enjoy writing songs, raps, lyrics, poems, even just penning my thoughts. For me, writing is just a pleasurable adventure. more…
