I seek You

Janice Sigamoney 1963 (Durban)

Ode

I flirt with life
Toy with fantasy
Dally with death
Tool with the mundane
And still I seek You.
I will always seek You.

The two-edged sword
My spirit, my soul
Salvation or damnation
Time, tide and eternity
I will need You.
I will always need You.

The measure of grace
The might of faith
Within, without
Desperately, ardently
I seek You.
I will always seek You.
