Vise

Hans Christian Andersen 1805 (Odense) – 1875 (Copenhagen)

Min Ven, lad Alt Dig more!
Søg Smaafolk blandt de Store,
Spil Hjerter ei, men Spar,
Gjør Nar, vær selv vor Nar!

Lad bare vær' at græde,
Det er en fattig Glæde,
Den giver bleg Couleur,
Og Verden vil — Humeur!

Husk, Verden pêle-mêle
Er kun en Pjalt det Hele,
Ja, Du og jeg og Alt
Er kun en Pjalt, en Pjalt.

Gid Pjalten leve længe!
Vi ere flinke Drenge,
Vi spille Kløer og Spar,
Gjør Nar og er selv Nar.
