A Journey of Truth and Resilience
Emotions swirl, like an untamed storm,
Unbottled, they rage, my heart is torn,
I'm an unopened soda, dropped to the floor,
Pressure building, ready to explode, core to the core
Life's icy grasp, an Antarctic embrace,
Antics obscured, numbed by its cold space,
Frantic thoughts swirl, a tempest unbound,
Anxiety's grip, a sedative to be found,
Real talk echoes, truth without disguise,
An eviction notice, fate's cruel surprise.
Late on rent, debts haunting my days,
Borrowed from the bank, to keep up the chase,
In constant lack, struggle becomes my kin,
Fatherhood's weight, a task I must begin,
A late fee, a hundred dollars to my name,
Grocery shopping forsaken, hunger's cruel game,
The devil's whisper, taunting with disdain,
"Useless you are, your condition just a feigned,
Excuse to be foolish, to wallow in despair,"
Real talk, as I silence, violence's snare.
Sanity's plea, a lifeline I must grasp,
Hidden amidst shadows, my refuge I clasp,
Why write these words, pouring out of my soul?
Accusations linger, doubters take their toll,
But still, I persist, my truth I claim,
In the face of skepticism, my voice I reclaim.
