God as the Creator
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
For you are very great;
Comforting to console,
Willing to compensate.
He is clothed with honor,
Splendor and majesty;
Adored by a fawner,
Humbled with modesty.
Clothed with garment of white,
Stretching out to Heaven;
Its glory giving light,
Shining beauty given.
He lays beams on water,
His chariot in clouds;
Zion is His daughter,
While the wind unshrouds.
He walks on wings of wind,
Angels flare from fire;
Creation disciplined,
To the Lord’s desire.
