The Wind, the Rain and Tears

She cried and cried and cried some more
Until she could not hear
Her sound of tears she'd heard before
The Wind muted her tears.

She walked and walked and walked some more
'Till Gray Cloud was above,
But low enough so she could talk
About the loss of love.

She said, "He will not marry me.
His heart will not be mine!
And so I need a place to be
Where tears are left behind,

Regardless of the sound I make.
So, may I cry right here?"
Gray Cloud said yes and for her sake,
His rain would hide each tear.
