Reise-Capriccio

Hans Christian Andersen 1805 (Odense) – 1875 (Copenhagen)

Farvel, du stolte Hav med al din Vælde!
Jeg saae dine Bølger faae Liv og svulme til Fjelde.
Din Sang var saa dyb, som steeg den i Smerte;
Og dog har du intet levende Hjerte!
Nei, kold og død du styrter med Vælde
Dine skummende Fjelde. -
Her har ei Hjertet sit Hjem!
Nei, over Hederne frem,
Til de grønne Skove, de blomstrende Vange,
Lystig afsted, med jublende Sange!
Herlige Land! — romantiske Egne!
Piger, som ingen Digter kan tegne,
— — Hvorfor vil jeg ile?
— Den jydske Amor har ingen Pile!
