Depths

Sometimes i get lost, not lost in a forest nor at sea;
But in your eyes, oh how you looked at me, how youd stare at the me i used to be;
you stared at the part of myself i envy most, when you stared into my eyes you make me think of the me i could be, the me i set aside so long ago.
If lost in the sea, you can send up a flare.
If lost in the forest, you set a campfire hoping someone sees the smoke.
But when im lost in your eyes theres nothing to help me float. When you look at me; when you long for me,
its when you have my heart most.
Sometimes i get lost, not lost in a forest nor at sea;
But lost in the me you used to see.
