9/11
Anthony Cochran 1982 (Chicago)
I looked out the window just in time to see it
I couldn't believe it was about to hit
My feet gave way from the massive collision
That was instantly followed by the fiery explosion
The fire quickly spread throughout the floor
And there was no escape from any door
Thick heavy smoke filled the air
So I busted out a window with an office chair
My life was not supposed to end this way
It was just a normal typical work day
I was soon faced with either burning alive
Or jumping to my death from floor 85
Then I felt the shaking as the tower started to fall
I guess God decided to make the call
I was gone before it finished it's tumble
And all that was left was a mass pile of rubble
I died on that horrific day in September
A day all of mankind will always remember
For I was just another innocent victim
By a cowardly act of terrorism
