When you see me smiling

Cracked is what inside,
And light is taking over,
broken is what my heart,
And love is what I give,
smashed is what I am,
And happiness is what you see,
This is what I feel, what I keep in the deep, and that is what I show, what I share to the world.
You know me, I am the blue! The calm, the breeze.
You know me, I am the warm, the friend and the echo.
You just know the surface, the roof, the shared, the known, and the common.
While I am the deep, the dark, the cold, and the killer.
I have inside what makes you rich, and inside of me there's what makes you die!
You look at the sky, then you wish, I look inside of you, then I let your dreams come true. Don't look above, just look beside, in front of you, there I am, behind! Everywhere, observing you, every direction you pass through.
I hold your love, I hold your secrets, I hold your sins, all in the depth of me.
How not! And I am your guarding angel, in the eyes of others!
How not! And I am your loving demon, in the eyes of me!
Keep your eyes closed, and with your heart, you'll see me clear.
Keep your ears deaf, and in your mind, you'll hear my voice loud.
I do care, but I'm trapped, inside my infinite nightmare!
I do love you, but I need you, to do the same too!
I used to give, more than I'm able to, just for you, to make you happy, to see your smile, as I ever do, I ever do love you.

About this poem

The poem describes the complexity of self view, as the inner self, the hidden traits of personality, and the outer self, what's shared with people and society. Then describing the loss and pain of not being understood by the loved one, and the fact that even with all this pain and loss inside I'm offering love and optimism to the world and the loved one. What exhausts me and makes it harder by time to compress all those feeings inside while pretending to show happiness. The poem is suitable and capable of describing the conflicts inside the person facing what's called smiling depression. What's meant by the blue is the sea,
