Star

She sat on the outside steps of her 3 bedroom home,
Eyes swirling with melancholy,
Hot and itchy tears steadily steaming down her pale cheeks,
She stared at the stars longingly,
What it must feel like to be a big ball of gas, energy, and heat,
Billions of lightyears away,
Yet so bright to a humans naked eye,
She wanted to bite her lip until the thick flesh turned to wound and blood pooled in her mouth,
She wanted to rip at her scalp until the skin peeled off into one thick slice with the pattern of her troubles engraved into the back of it,
She wanted to melt into a heap of bones and blood,
So much inward energy,
Like those stars so far away,
Sadness, rage, pity, self loathing,
All in each other created a big gasy star waiting to implode on itself and bounce backwards efficiently eliminating all of the other stars around it,
But instead she sat on those wooden steps,
Biting at her nails and scratching at her skin,
Waiting for her tears to dry up,
Only to return to the empty void that waited in her 3 bedroom home.
