A Mother's Grief

A MOTHER'S GRIEF
By: Dalene Bayobo - Dolot

Alone in my son's bedroom, I feel the  pain of missing him so much.
How I wish to hear him singing while playing his guitar.

It's almost nine years now since he was called home by our Creator.
But not a single day passed that his loving memories slip off my mind.

The many "what if" and  "why's" remain unanswered,
Had to convince myself through my faith that it was God's will.

It broke my heart that he can no longer share our joys and laughter,
And enjoy driving the car like a car racer he has dream of.

Not all will understand my journey as a grieving mom,
Like a broken record, I love to tell his life's story to retain his memory.

I am grateful to God for giving me enough courage and strength,
To live and endure the pain in my heart for as long as I breathe.
