ANXIETY’S LIKE A ROCKING CHAIR. IT GIVES YOU SOMETHING TO DO, BUT IT DOESN’T GET YOU VERY FAR.
Anxiety's like a rocking chair,
It keeps you busy, but takes you nowhere.
Back and forth, it goes endlessly,
But progress? Alas, that's hard to see.
Sitting on the edge of constant unrest,
Thoughts racing like the wind, a tempest.
Worrying about what might go wrong,
Yet time keeps passing, too many days long.
It tricks you into thinking you're in control,
Yet steers you away from reaching your goal.
The more you rock, the more it binds,
Leaving you stuck, stuck in your mind.
It whispers tales of fear and doubt,
A never-ending cycle, no way out.
While others soar and explore new skies,
Anxiety's chains hold you, telling lies.
But remember, dear soul, you're stronger than you know,
Amidst the chaos, a fire within you still glows.
Release the grip of the rocking chair's sway,
Embrace the unknown, break free from dismay.
Embrace the discomfort, let courage lead,
Overcoming anxiety, a seed you'll plant and feed.
With patience and resilience, you will find,
That rocking chair fading, leaving behind.
For life's a journey, with twists and turns,
Anxiety may linger, but its power it earns.
With each step forward, you'll rise above,
Discovering the strength within, self-love.
So, let the rocking chair's presence be,
A reminder that growth lies beyond what we see.
Move forward, dear one, don't stay stuck there,
Anxiety's just a rocking chair, it takes you nowhere.
