let go
Michael W. Evans 1970 (US)
“ let go “
How can I sit in the glory of the Son yet feel the chill of a violent sea, I find joy in the Son yet do I linger in the cold of nite. I am forgiven by the only one that matters and still find myself in the shadows. I can see the way through the new days ray. From the Sons warm embrace, his smiling face. The love in this place, a shelter from the storm. But I’m in my cold hiding place, from what… Joy, forgiveness, compassion, and love. Stop fighting to stay in that place of misery where my burdens of failure, loss, and darkness dwell. I’ve been forgiven by the creator of the universe, who do I think I am to not allow it to be. Do I feel
I see the cost for me, not paid in full, how can it be? My God loves me, sent his Son. Run to the cross. Who payed it ALL freely for me, my sin, loss, failures, and regret. Stand in the Son. I dare not fret.
