Freezeframe

Next time
You cry yourself
To a shaky status quo -
In the car,
After everyone is gone
With their spouses
And their offspring in tow,
Their precious fates -
Things your lonely soul
Sometimes desiderates -
Don't stop the flow.
It's Beauty is what it is,
Trust you me, I know.

Like the puppy that you saved -
Out of the goodness of your heart
And then abandoned at the gates
Of your friend's gardenhouse -
You are not helpless at all.

Like the woman with the pasted smile -
Who gets asked every once in a while
Why her life turned out this way,
What she did, what she is like,
She seems so nice, well then why -
You are not plastic at all.

You are Art
Is what you are
Not a canvas
But a messy cluster of stars.
