The Light from the Shadows

The light from the shadows of a thousand candles burning
The bright configuration of a lighthouse plainly warning
Plain sight considerations of a future that is forming
Contrite observations of memories of the Storming

Visual continuity bent down upon my bended knee
I bought the item they sold for free
Before my eyes could even see
The earth in all of its complexity

But somehow before the game was won
The notion of triumph had dampened all the fun
To the point where I broke out into a spontaneous run
Just to see if my neighbour was really triggering his gun

A calculated manoeuvre of complicated psychological war
An emalgamated intruder that confiscated the meaning of what it’s all for
A housewife in the 50’s days committed to her chores,
An ancient people of the land
bound by sacred Laws

Improvisational vocal expressions coming from a musical perfectionist
Confrontational local regressions running toward the holy ressurrectionist
A calming conversation with a harmless French ventriloquist
A lonely man at heavens gate giving lessons about the limitless

Comprehensive documents incriminating a former president
Convallessive compliments discriminating against elderly residents
Slightly regressive altered states that suggest there was no evidence
A mood so floridly irate that it’s consumed by perpetual reticence

A brave contender for justice fighting the legal system
A slaves pretender for armistice lighting up a Veterans Pension
The grave engendered consequence of repression and retention
That saved the splendour of innocence from the mother of all inventions

The Squandered possibility of a civilisation in decline
The wonders and duplicity of a composition that’s purely refined
The delicate complexities of the workings of the human mind
An elaborate of extremities that only endurance and willpower can find

The nations United against a common enemy
The stations incited riots at the Garden of Ghettsemony
Confrontations ignited timeless arguments of hope and possibility
Infiltrations of unrequited love prone to lament in an undisclosed proximity

A sigh of recollection as friendship begins to fade
The rhyme of condescension at the passing of this historical Age
The times of good intentions that are turning the next bright page
A sign of magical retentions, a seer, a visionary, a holy sage
