Platitudes of Exactitude

Platitudes of Exactitude

Platitudes of exactitude redefining my whole attitude
Don’t want to seem rude but I can’t help but conclude
That the truth will protrude
From a form that just wants to be misconstrued

Everything is in litigation
Or it’s about representation of information
While the train has already left the station
I’m so in love my heart soars with elation

But we’re on different vibrations
I’ve been recognised by the United Nations
But that’s the very last of my important invitations
Because it doesn’t mean that much to me unless I’m involved in demonstrations

Conversations about gender, race, human rights and greed
We’re all enslaved by the daily race to acquire more than we actually need
Many who were falsely arrested are crying out to be freed
And the truth is always fiercely contested so all you liars better take heed

The seed of a prophet crying out from a street corner
A NASA made rocket, a perfectionist performer
Don’t let me ever say that I didn’t warn you
That this planet needs a reboot before A.I. decides to storm through.

Charitable donations from the rich and famous.
Worried consternations from the poor and the nameless.
Neither section of society is entirely blameless
We all participate in acts that could be considered to be heinous.

There’s constant sacrifices of morals and ethics
And compromises in science in the field of genetics
We’ll redifine the definitions as the pace gets more frenetic
Like a frenzied composition from a man no less than pathetic

I won’t regret it unless I take no more action
While the mathematicians get distracted by geometric fractions
Like an osteo-physician that works in birth contractions
Or an arrogant criminal lawyer making official statements of retraction

I recall the instant where your mood went sour
I ran away from the torment as it killed me by the hour
And found catharsis in the petals of a delicate flower
And marvelled at your masculinity and consummate  power

So overcome with admiration and elegant considerations
I nearly won the wrong predicament and sent you commiserations
But my loyalty stayed true to you and I overthrew all considerations
And put my reputation on the line while you made the preparations

So I suffer through my love for you
And wander through my painful days
Will I have the strength to see this through
Will I ever see through this haze?

Will we laugh together like two co-conspirators or be innocent like children ?
Can we not take any visitors until we have spent our time together and filled them?

Back to the point of a manifesto forming
About Gallilleo and Nostradamus and the warning
It’s the prophetic state of a vision that is forming
All before we can properly integrate we must withstand the weather of Global Warming

It’s a sure thing to bet on the heaviest contender
Another thing to infiltrate and be a true pretender
I remember the days when I used to go on a bender
In a mind altered Purple Haze while playing my electric black Fender

We all engage in creating an illusion
While we become enraged and distorted with confusion
All the while singing in harmony and perfect unison
While we wait for another irate political protrusion

I’ll take your hand through the conflict and sorrow
And hold you for the rest of the remaining tomorrows
While there’s nothing that I could ask for or even want to borrow
That could make me desert you for any reason or furrow

You might be a man of the world you set on fire
But you’re my light and of you I’ll never tire
You’ll forever be my one true hearts desire
As we wade through this life our great bond will never expire
