You Can't Tell Me
You Can’t Tell Me! ©

You can’t tell me you support me
When your choices devastate
You can’t tell me that you love me
When your choices seal my fate
You can’t tell me you’re all about kindness
When your mind has tunnel vision
You can’t tell me you’re in my corner
When you vote for pure derision
You can’t tell me all is how it should be
When you close your heart to diversity
And make it clear for all to see
So don’t you DARE claim you love folks like me!
About this poem
The hypocrisy of people who pretend to support who you are then make choices that are very harmful to you.
