Life Is A Fragile Bubble

As I strolled along the street's bend, I caught sight of the corner house's closed gate, beckoning me closer. The air itself held a hushed quality, as if whispering the secret of the house's vacancy. Intrigued, I paused and caught a glimpse through the window, only to find a desolate scene: colorless walls and neglected furniture buried under layers of grime.

Just as I contemplated continuing on my way, a symphony of merry voices danced through the stillness, emanating from within the house's very core. My curiosity rekindled, I stole another glance through the curtain-less window, and to my astonishment, a vivid transformation unfolded before my eyes. The walls had come to life with exquisite paint, and the furnishings sparkled with newfound vigor. In this enchanting space, the laughter of children filled the air as they reveled in their joyful games.

As I gazed intently, I discovered a tender scene unfolding before my eyes—it was I, playing joyfully with my dear siblings. A surge of pure bliss rushed through me as I beheld their radiant smiles. Yet, alas, I knew my journey must continue, for I am not permitted to stay. Like a fleeting bubble in the wind, everything suddenly vanished, leaving me pondering the transience of this worldly existence, akin to a delicate bubble.
I smiled, cherished the beautiful moments and started moving towards my new abode.

About this poem

The poem revolves around an exquisite spirit who comprehends the transience of life. Similar to a bubble, all things vanish upon departing the mortal coil. The soul finds joy in reminiscing the enchanting memories of childhood and then proceeds towards its new abode.
