Din Sjæl er blød og gjennemsigtig selv,
Som Vandet er det i den svenske Elv,
Hver Stjerne speiler sig i den til Grunden,
Og naar et Smiil Dig bæver mildt om Munden,
Til Dig betroer sig gjerne da hver Een.
— Gud gav en Digter Dig, som Ædelsteen.
