The Journey Within

Being right about anything
But myself,
Really has very little
Interest to me.
I wander through
The labyrinth of existence,
Seeking to unravel
The enigma
Of my own being.

I navigate the tangled
Webs of perception,
Peering into the mirror
Of introspection,
Unveiling the intricate
Layers of my soul,
The truths and illusions
Folded within.

There is no satisfaction
In triumphing over others.
It is only in conquering
My own doubts,
And conquering
My own inhibitions,
That I am able to glimpse
The depths of my potential.

I dismiss the allure
Of external validation.
The chorus of opinions
Can sing sweetly,
But their melody
Will never resonate,
As deeply as the harmony
Of my inner melody.

Measured by my own
Yardstick of achievement,
I cast aside the need
For comparison,
I unravel the tapestry
Of self-doubt,
Weaving a fabric
Of self-worth instead.

In this quest for
Self-discovery, I delve,
Unearthing hidden facets
Of my essence,
The fragments waiting
To be pieced together,
Until I stand whole
And unyielding.

Let others debate
And argue,
Captivated by their own
Quest for correctness,
But I am content
To be the sole arbiter,
Proving myself to myself,
Within my own
Confines.
