Nature's Melody

Jessa Jane M. Naga 2005 (Puerto Princesa Palawan)

Gentle morning breeze,
Carrying flowers' sweet scent,
Nature's melody.

Trees standing tall, proud,
Offering shade and shelter,
Nature's sanctuary.

Streams flow gracefully,
Soothing mind and soul alike,
Nature's elixir.

Birds sing joyfully,
Adding to nature's chorus,
Tranquility found.

About this poem

This poem celebrates the beauty and serenity of nature through four separate haiku stanzas. The first stanza highlights the music of nature as a gentle morning breeze carries the sweet scent of flowers. The second exposes the protection and comfort nature provides as trees stand tall, offering shade and shelter. In the third stanza, the calming effect of a flowing stream is appreciated, serving as an elixir for both mind and soul. The final stanza portrays the harmonious atmosphere Nature creates as birds add to its sweet melody, allowing those who experience it to find tranquility in its magnificence.
